Baku wedding venues postpone ceremonies scheduled for COP29 climate conference

Several restaurants and wedding halls in Baku have decided to postpone wedding celebrations in November due to the upcoming COP29 event.

According to Report, wedding venues near the Baku Olympic Stadium, where the event will take place, are no longer accepting bookings for November. Venue owners are also requesting citizens who have already scheduled weddings in November to reschedule their celebrations to other dates.

A number of restaurants in the capital have also announced that they will not be accepting orders for weddings from November 8 to 22 and have changed the dates of previously scheduled events during this period.

Venue owners attribute this decision to the large number of foreign citizens expected to arrive in the country for COP29 and their efforts to support the alleviation of potential congestion in the capital.
