"I know that the Garabag football club, the management, the coaches, always behave with great dignity. Unlike some other coaches and club presidents, they do not make noise, do not create scandals, do not make a fuss. I appreciate it," Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said at the meeting with members of the Garabag football club, who have qualified to the playoffs in the UEFA Conference League, Report informs.
"A strong man always behaves in an orderly manner, always uses his strength wherever it is necessary, and I appreciate it. But that does not boil down to the fact that such a shameful thing should happen to us every time. Therefore, I am convinced that the necessary legal steps must be taken in accordance with the rules of the European football family so that such cases do not happen again in the future.
“In parallel with it, I must say why I pay so much attention to it. You should know that like every citizen of Azerbaijan, my heart aches when I see that shameful situation. I also silently said that how much we have to endure it. How long it will last. We all understand that this is not an ordinary case. Either an instructed judge does it, or he does it on the basis of some thoughts and feelings. It cannot be called anything else. It is impossible not to see it. At the same time, it should not discourage us," the president underscored.
