"We use natural gas, water, sun, and wind. Given that, we need to create renewable energy sources to protect the environment in the future. The second reason is that we have capabilities and potential for that. An excellent investment climate has been created in the country, in which both our and foreign firms are interested," President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said in an interview with AZERTAC.
He said the construction of nearly 30 hydroelectric power plants destroyed by Armenians is possible in the liberated territories.
"On this occasion, I would like to invite local and foreign investors in this area. Because the state already implements and will continue to implement this work. But it would be good if private companies also invest in this area, and we certainly have huge potential in the Kalbajar-Lachin zone and other liberated territories."
