The Central Electoral Commission of Azerbaijan (CEC) has begun accepting financial reports of the political parties for 2021, Report informs that according to the legislation, political parties must submit annual reports to the CEC starting from January 1.
Since January 1-4 were non-working days due to the holidays, the receipt of reports began only from today (January 5).
Political parties must submit annual financial statements to the CEC, together with an audit opinion, no later than April 1.
Information will be given to the Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan about parties that do not submit a corresponding report.
