A total of 180 families, comprising 591 individuals, are set to be relocated to Sugovushan village in the Aghdara district of Azerbaijan, Afat Telmangizi, head of the Public Relations Department at the Restoration, Construction, and Management Service for Khankandi city, Aghdara, and Khojaly districts, told journalists, Report informs.
Some 20 of these families have already returned to the village today.
Telmangizi highlighted that a residential complex has been developed on a 2.3-hectare area in Sugovushan village, featuring five five-story buildings. These buildings collectively house 190 apartments, ranging from one to four rooms. Additionally, major renovations have transformed the previously unusable secondary school building, which now accommodates 144 students.
Reconstruction efforts have also brought the Sugovushan-1 and Sugovushan-2 Small Hydroelectric Power Stations into operation, providing a combined capacity of 7.8 megawatts.
Telmangizi further noted the development of a recreation complex spanning 6 hectares in Sugovushan. This includes 16 renovated cottages and a two-story hotel.
On March 18, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the inauguration ceremony of the newly constructed residential complex in Sugovushan village.
