Azerbaijan and Switzerland have discussed projects to expand women's economic rights and opportunities in the liberated territories, Report informs.
The issue was discussed at a meeting between Chairperson of the State Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs Bahar Muradova and Ambassador of Switzerland to Azerbaijan Thomas Stahl.
Muradova spoke about cooperation with international organizations in the direction of expanding women's economic rights and opportunities and highly appreciated the activities of women's resource centers.
The chairperson of the State Committee noted the importance of ensuring the stable operation of resource centers and emphasized that Switzerland's participation in these projects gave impetus to the development of cooperation between the two countries. Muradova emphasized the importance of continuing such projects in the liberated territories.
The Swiss ambassador stated that ongoing efforts on gender equality and women's empowerment are one of the areas of the embassy's activities. Stahl positively assessed the activities of the State Committee in this direction and added that Switzerland is open to joint cooperation.
