Azerbaijan sets example for youth engagement in elections, says NAM youth organization observer

There is a continued need for the enhancing of youth engagerent in the electoral processes across all other NAM member states following the example set by the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jacob Eyeru, an international observer from Uganda, member of the Non-Aligned Movement Youth Organization (NAMYO) said, according to Report.

"The NAMYO delegation observed the inclusive participation of eligible voters and high electoral activity in the mentioned polling stations. In addition, observers confirmed that free and fair elections were held in all designated polling stations that met the criteria of transparency and legitimacy. The observers noted that both national and international delegations were provided with the necessary administrative support to carry out objective observation," he said.

Eyeru also thanked officials and staff at the polling stations "for their professionalism and the cooperation they dernonstrated which notably supported our observation efforts."
