The early elections to the parliament of Azerbaijan were organized at a high level, the head of the CIS observer mission Leonid Anfimov said after visiting a number of polling stations on September 1, Report informs with reference to the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.
"Based on the information of long-term observers and taking into account what I saw the day before and on the day of voting, I would like to note that the parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan were organized at a high level," he said.
He noted that no significant violations were found on the part of CIS observers at any of the polling stations, which indicates that the electoral process complies with the requirements of the law.
"We are in constant communication with our colleagues, internal observers. It is interesting to know their opinion about the ongoing voting. It is also interesting to know whether they have any comments or suggestions for improving the election campaign. I have not heard any complaints from anyone, everyone agrees that the election process is being conducted in compliance with internal legislation and international standards," he noted.
According to Anfimov, the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan has created all the conditions for international and internal observers to carry out their mission.
