Cooperation between the Milli Majlis (Parliament of Azerbaijan) and the Ombudsman's Office is at a high level, the first vice-speaker of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan, Ali Huseynli, said on October 19 at the Baku International Conference of Ombudsmen and National Human Rights Institutions on "The role of ombudsmen and national human rights institutions in the field of business and human rights", dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Office of the Ombudsman, Report informs.
According to him, in recent years, the impact of business on the implementation of human rights, the responsibility for the violation of these rights has become a serious research topic:
"Over the past 20 years, the Office of the Ombudsman has achieved great success in human rights protection. Today, cooperation between the Parliament and the Ombudsman's Office in the formation of national legislation on human rights is at a high level. At the same time, the Ombudsman cooperates successfully at the international level."
