8 permanent precincts established in another 6 liberated districts

The snap parliamentary elections to be held on September 1, 2024 are the second major event of this year, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Department for Territorial and Organizational Issues of the Presidential Administration Zeynal Naghdaliyev said at a meeting for the heads of district election commissions held at the Central Election Commission (CEC), Report informs.

Naghdaliyev noted that the main issue is to ensure that the election process meets all the requirements of the legislation:

“In connection with the parliamentary elections, eight permanent precincts were established in another six liberated districts. To date, 1,997 families have been relocated to the liberated territories. More than 20,000 people were involved in landscaping and construction works. In total, 26 precincts will operate in those districts.”

Naghdaliyev added that Shusha-Aghdam-Khojavand District Election Commission No. 24 was moved to a newly renovated building.
