382 Azerbaijanis hit by Armenian-planted landmines since end of Karabakh War

From November 10, 2020, to November 11, 2024, 382 Azerbaijani citizens have become victims of mines planted during Armenia's military occupation, according to a post by Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, on X, Report informs.

Hajiyev noted, “Landmine victims in Azerbaijan continue to grow. Azerbaijan is suffering from the consequences of Armenia’s 30-year-long military occupation.”

According to the post, since November 10, 2020, 70 people have died and 312 people have been injured due to mine explosions. Among the deceased, 55 were civilians, and among the injured, 143 were civilians.

After November 10, 15 servicemen were killed and 169 were injured due to mine explosions.

As noted, since 1991 up today, more than 3,400 mine victims have been registered by the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA). Of these, 359 were children and 38 were females.
