Ukraine’s Rohatyn may get street after Azerbaijan

"A street named Azerbaijan may be opened in Rohatyn, an ancient and tourist city of Ukraine," city mayor Sergei Nasalik told Report's Eastern Europe bureau.

He said that they are thinking about it and it will contribute to the friendly and fraternal relations between Ukraine and Azerbaijan.

Nasalik also noted that they are ready to propose that Rohatyn and one of the ancient and touristic cities of Azerbaijan, which was liberated from occupation last year, become twin cities.

We should note that Rohatyn in Ivano-Frankivsk region, is more than 1,200 years old and is considered one of the tourist areas of western Ukraine at the foot of the Carpathian Mountains. Haseki Hurrem Sultan (Roxelana), a wife of the Ottoman Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent, was born and raised in this city.
