Shusha hosting forum of heads of OTS member countries' state bodies responsible for diaspora issues

Shusha is hosting the forum of the heads of OTS (Organization of Turkic States) member countries' state bodies responsible for diaspora issues, Report informs.

Report's employee sent to Shusha informs that Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora Fuad Muradov, Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Yerzhan Mukash, State Secretary for National Policy of Hungary Arpad Janos Potapi, Chairman of the National Commission for State Language and Language Policy under the Kyrgyz President Kanybek Osmonaliev, Head of the International Department of the Otandastar Foundation of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kalibek Koblandin, and the head of the Secretariat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Kemal Koprulu, are participating at the event.

Aydin Karimov, the special representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the Shusha district, said in his speech that various memorable events marked the year of Shusha: "At the same time, holding such a valuable event in Shusha has a symbolic meaning. At the beginning of this year, the 5th Congress of World Azerbaijanis was held in Shusha under the organization of the State Committee. It was an honor to receive the Azerbaijanis of the world in their native Shusha city."

Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora Fuad Muradov said this year they are already hosting the 3rd event: "Every event carried out in the field of diaspora is essential for us. Holding those events in Shusha is doubly important for us. We have defined our strategic goals. In the Shusha Declaration signed between Azerbaijan and Turkiye, several points reflected cooperation in the diaspora field. We have been conducting joint events for several years. We have organized various events with the participation of state institutions and diaspora members. In Berlin, we held trainings for the diaspora youth living in Germany. We organized a similar event in New York."

According to him, a diaspora youth forum will be held next year in Bursa, Turkiye: "We felt the support of OTS in organizing today's event."

The Shusha statement will be adopted at the end of the forum.

The first part of the forum was held on December 20 in Baku.
