Protest rally held in London against illegal mining by Armenia in Azerbaijan's territory

A peaceful protest against the illegal exploitation by Armenia of mineral deposits in the Karabakh economic region of Azerbaijan, where the Russian peacekeeping contingent is temporarily deployed, has been held at Parliament Square in London, Report informs referring to the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora of Azerbaijan.

The protest organized by the Coordinating Council of Azerbaijanis in the UK was attended by representatives of Azerbaijani diaspora organizations, the Turkish diaspora, the local community and Azerbaijani students studying in this country.

During the protest action, which lasted for two hours, the demonstrators were holding posters "Environmental terror of Armenia in Azerbaijan must be stopped!", "Armenian landmines = war crimes!", "We demand justice!" and etc.

With this step, Azerbaijanis in the UK expressed their support to Azerbaijani environmental activists and NGO representatives who are holding a protest rally on the Shusha-Khankandi road demanding an end to the environmental terror of Armenia.

The protesters handed out leaflets with information about eco-terrorism committed by Armenia on Azerbaijani territory to local residents on the central streets of London.
