New Secretary-General elected to Ukrainian Azerbaijanis Rada

The board of the Ukrainian Azerbaijanis Rada (UAR) held a meeting in Kyiv, Report informs, citing the State Committee on Work with the Diaspora.

The event presented a report on the work done by the UAR and considered the organizational issues.

During the meeting, Jeyhun Mammadov has been nominated for the post of Secretary-General and was elected by voting. Elshad Ibrahimov has been appointed chief of staff.

Ruslan Guliyev, head of the department of the State Committee on Work with the Diaspora, also joined the meeting via the internet. During his speech, Guliyev conveyed the greetings of the Chairman of the State Committee, Fuad Muradov, to the meeting participants, thanked the former Secretary-General Jalal Huseynov for his work, and wished him success.

Then the meeting attendees discussed the plans and activities of the UAR.
