The Ramadan pavilion has hosted the Day of Azerbaijan in Moscow where an iftar dinner was held for the guests.
According to Report's Russian bureau, the event was organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
Head of Humanitarian Programs of the Russian Office of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Tamilla Ahmadova stressed the seven-year tradition of holding iftar at the Ramadan pavilion: "The Holy Month of Ramadan is very dear to all Muslims. I am very happy that the representative office of the Foundation has been organizing iftar for already the seventh time on the initiative of the Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Leyla Aliyeva. We have long been cooperating with the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Moscow and I hope that our cooperation will continue in the future."
On his part, the Deputy Mufti of Moscow, Marat Hazrat Arslanov, noted that holding such events is essential as people get acquainted with the culture of Azerbaijan, after which they have a desire to visit this country.
Anas Hazrat Mammadov, director of the Muslim school in Moscow, also stressed that holding such events allows everyone to get acquainted with the tradition and culture of Azerbaijan. He added that after the victory of Azerbaijan in the Karabakh war, people want to know more about the country.
