Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili will today visit Kvemo Kartli (Borchali) region, where the Azerbaijanis live compactly, Local Bureau of Report News Agency informs citing the Georgian Presidential Administration.
During the visit, the head of state will meet with local residents and visit producing enterprises.
The purpose of Zourabichvili's visit to Kvemo Kartli is to familiarize with the local development processes and to support the development of Georgia's regions in line with the election promises.
The president will also meet with the teachers and schoolchildren in Tamarisi village of Marneuli region, as well as the greenhouse with modern equipment, the Etnography Museum in Bolnisi, Katarinenfeld German quarter and the cheese factory of the eco-migrant women.
Zourabichvili will complete her visit to the region on March 20 in Gardabani district and congratulate Azerbaijanis on Novruz holiday.
