Fuad Muradov meets with Jewish writer of Azerbaijani origin in US

Chairman of the State Committee on Work with the Diaspora Fuad Muradov met with our compatriot Nobert Yevdayev, who has lived in the United States for more than 30 years, at an event with representatives of the Azerbaijani community in Florida on the occasion of November 8 - Victory Day, Report informs, citing the State Committee.

Muradov thanked Nobert Yevdayev, author of a number of scientific works, poet, writer, artist, journalist, and editor-in-chief of New York-based Russian language newspaper “Noviy Rubezh” ('New Frontier') of the Mountain Jews community in the US, for his work in the field of solidarity of Azerbaijanis and the promotion of Azerbaijani culture, and presented him a book "Azerbaijani carpets - Karabakh group" and a national carpet souvenir.

In turn, Yevdayev said he was very proud to represent Azerbaijan. Our compatriot presented a book to the chairman of the Committee and recited a poem.

Nobert Yevdayev, a Baku Jew, has lived in the US since 1989. He organized a number of events to promote Azerbaijani culture in America. He was awarded the Taraggi by order of President Ilham Aliyev dated March 13, 2006.
