"It would be great if Azerbaijani businessmen living abroad invest in Azerbaijan. Therefore, we carry out very serious work in this direction," Fuad Muradov, chairman of the State Committee said.
Report informs that he spoke at the event on the occasion of signing of the Memorandum between the Center for Economic Reforms Analysis and Communication and State Committee on Work with Diaspora.
He underlined that more favorable opportunities would be created for our compatriots living abroad to invest in Azerbaijan:
"One of the tasks set by President Ilham Aliyev is to develop relations with our compatriots living abroad and to achieve the contribution of our compatriots to the Azerbaijani economy in the future. With the support of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Azerbaijani schools are opened in Europe. Moreover, the Azerbaijani schools named 'Garabagh' have started functioning under the auspices of First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva. The Azerbaijani businessmen living abroad are also closely involved in the activities of these companies. Therefore, we eye creating opportunities to develop such promotion in the future through investing in various fields by Azerbaijani businessmen living abroad.”
