Chairman of Diaspora Committee meets Azerbaijanis living in Germany

Azerbaijan's State Committee on Work with Diaspora has held a meeting with Azerbaijanis at the Azerbaijan House in Munich, Report informs.

Speaking at the event, Fuad Muradov, chairman of the State Committee, said that the glorious victory in the Second Karabakh War under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev opened a new page in diaspora-building. He praised the work of the Azerbaijani diaspora, called on them to continue to be active in conveying the truth about Azerbaijan to the world, spoke about the vital role of the Coordination Councils and Azerbaijan Houses in this direction.

The event featured a video on the activities of the State Committee on Work with the Diaspora, a textbook for learning the Azerbaijani language published by the State Committee, the visit of diaspora representatives to Shusha, and summer camps for diaspora youth.

Then the Head of the Azerbaijan House in Munich Sattar Karimov, the Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijan House in Cologne Altay Rustamov and the Chairman of the Coordinating Council of Azerbaijanis in Germany Yashar Musayev reported on the activities of the respective organizations during the Second Karabakh War.

After the speeches, the diaspora representatives praised the steps taken by the State Committee for diaspora unity and solidarity, made various proposals on the future activities of diaspora organizations and Azerbaijan Houses, and approved work plans for September 27 - Remembrance Day and November 8 - Victory Day.
