A meeting was held with members of the Azerbaijani community in Germany as part of events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the founder of the modern Azerbaijani state, outstanding statesman Heydar Aliyev.
Report informs citing the State Committee on Work with Diaspora that the meeting was attended by representatives of the Committee and the Azerbaijani Embassy in Germany, activists of the Azerbaijani community and representatives of the community of South Azerbaijan.
The event began with the performance of the National Anthem of Azerbaijan.
Then the documentary film, Winners Live Forever, dedicated to national leader Heydar Aliyev, was shown.
Welcoming the participants of the meeting, Fuad Muradov, Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, spoke about the invaluable merits of the founder of the modern Azerbaijani state, Heydar Aliyev.
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Germany Nasimi Aghayev also spoke about the multifaceted activities of the national leader at various stages of history, about his invaluable work and merits in the field of diaspora construction.
Community members who spoke at the meeting recalled the great leader with love and respect, and noted that they would make every effort to further organizational development and intensify the activity of the diaspora.
A wide exchange of views took place, and a Q&A session was held at the end of the meeting.
