Azerbaijanis living in US launch campaign against Nancy Pelosi

US Azerbaijanis Network (USAN) has started a letter campaign to protest against the unacceptable and groundless statements made by the Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi against Azerbaijan during her visit to Armenia, the State Committee on Work with Diaspora told Report.

The letter stated that Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who visited Yerevan at the request of Armenian groups pursuing small interests, was joined by pro-Armenian congressmen Jackie Speier, Anna Eshoo, and Frank Pallone:

"It is clear that Pelosi is fighting to win the support of the Armenian community in America one month before the midterm elections in the United States. Regrettably, she does so with carelessness, complete disregard for the US's stated policy on the conflict, and no knowledge of the current situation."

USAN has called on compatriots to join the letter campaign to raise their voice of protest against Speaker Pelosi's baseless accusations against Azerbaijan and to demand whether the Democratic Party shares this position on the eve of the elections:

"As a voter, you have a right to know and demand this."
