Azerbaijani youth in Turkiye protest and condemns illegal exploitation of mines in Karabakh

A demonstration was held in the Azerbaijan Brotherhood Park in Manisa, Turkiye, as a sign of protest against the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits in the territory of Azerbaijan under the temporary control of Russian peacekeepers, Report informs, citing the State Committee for Work with Diaspora.

During the demonstration organized by the youth departments of the Manisa Azerbaijani Students' Association and the Manisa Azerbaijani Culture and Solidarity Association, the protesters demanded an immediate end to the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits in the territory of Azerbaijan by Armenia and Armenian separatists.

Elmir Ismayilzadeh, chairman of the Azerbaijani Students' Association of Manisa, speaking at the rally, said that by illegally looting the natural resources of Azerbaijan, Armenia and the Armenian separatists are committing ecological sabotage in Karabakh and causing significant damage to nature. The Russian peacekeepers do not allow the monitoring group of representatives of Azerbaijan state institutions to enter these regions and carry out observations.

He pointed out that Azerbaijanis in Manisa support the non-stop demonstrations of Azerbaijani eco-activists and representatives of non-governmental organizations on the Shusha-Khankandi road demanding an end to the environmental terrorism by Armenians.

"We demand an end to environmental terrorism in Karabakh. Our protests will continue until the looting by Armenian separatists stops," added Elmir Ismayilzadeh.
