The award ceremony for the film The Mother's Pray, a joint production of Azerbaijani and Israeli cinematographers, was held in the Jewish Cultural Center operating in the city of Munich, Germany.
Report informs that the movie is about the history of the Mountain Jews living in Azerbaijan’s Oghuz district.
The main character of the film is rabbi Shmuel Simantov, one of the activists of the Azerbaijani diaspora who was born in Oghuz and currently lives in Israel.
The director of the film is Rufat Asadov. The film in question is his seventh film about the Mountain Jews.
