Azerbaijani Diaspora members awarded in Tatarstan

Ramiz Mammadov and his wife Ilhama Jamilova, head of the "Birlik" Azerbaijani National-Cultural Autonomy Public Organization in Leninogorsk, Tatarstan, were awarded the Medal for Love and Loyalty, Report informs, citing the State Committee on Work with Diaspora.

The mayor of Leninogorsk, Mayor of Leninogorsk Ryagat Khusainov, delivered a speech at the celebration of the Republic Day of Tatarstan. He said that families who have been active in the public life of the city, lived together for 25 years, raised worthy children, and contributed to the development of Tatarstan were awarded the Medal for Love and Loyalty.

The mayor presented the medal to the Mammadovs family - Ramiz Mammadov and his wife Ilhama Jamilova, who have been preserving the Azerbaijani language, history, culture, and traditions and passing them on to the younger generation over 31 years.
