Azerbaijani diaspora in Moldova celebrates 101st birth anniversary of Heydar Aliyev

The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Moldova has hosted an event in connection with the 101st anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the founder of the modern Azerbaijan statehood, Report informs.

Moldovan officials, representatives of diplomatic corps accredited in this country, members of the Congress of Azerbaijanis of Moldova and other representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora participated in the event.

“Heydar Aliyev led the country with honor. Thanks to his wise decisions, Azerbaijan has become a prosperous, well-known state,” said Vitalie Jacot, a member of the Moldovan parliament and chairman of the Azerbaijan-Moldova friendship group, at the event.

“Today, celebrating the 101st anniversary of Heydar Aliyev's birth, we once again express our deep respect to his memory. The best thing we can do in this regard is to step forward with confidence on the path of progress, solidarity and love of the Motherland, as our National Leader has bequeathed,” Chairman of the Congress of Azerbaijanis of Moldova Elchin Bayramov emphasized.
