The city of Shusha gave great cultural figures to Azerbaijan, Secretary-General of TURKSOY Dusen Kasseinov told Report's correspondent on a business trip to Bursa.
"It is important to revive this city, to give it a new breath," he said.
"We want to revive Shusha. This city has given Azerbaijan so many great cultural figures. We want to show it to the world. We must give a new breath to this blessed land. And we, as an organization, will do our best to this end," Dusen Kasseinov said.
Shusha was elected the capital of the Turkic world for 2023. The decision on this was made at an extraordinary meeting of TURKSOY's Permanent Council, held today in the Turkish city of Bursa.
