"The life story of my colleague at Baku TV touched me deeply and gave me the idea to make it into a film," Leyli Magerram, the director and screenwriter of the documentary "The word", said in her statement to Report.
According to Magerram, when she shared this idea with the television management, she immediately received a positive response.
"My colleague Alakbar Nasirov's life story touched me so deeply that I was thinking about turning it into a screenplay day and night. In the film, we presented the 44-day Patriotic War and the emotional state after the victory precisely through his own words."
The director also touched on the film's participation in international festivals:
"This is, of course, an important factor in conveying Azerbaijan's truths to the world."
