Shooting of film about Mountain Jews of Azerbaijan's Oghuz district completed

The shooting of a joint film by Azerbaijani and Israeli filmmakers about the Mountain Jews of Azerbaijan's Oghuz district has been completed, Report informs.

The film tells about the history of the Mountain Jews living in the Oghuz district of Azerbaijan.

The protagonist of the film is Rabbi Shmuel Simantov, a native of the Oghuz district, a public figure, who tells the world about Azerbaijani realities. The scriptwriter and director of the film was Rufat Asadov. The cameramen were Mahir Atakishiyev, Roman Isakov, and the executive producer was Shaul Siman-Tov.

Filming took place in various parts of Azerbaijan, Israel, the US and Germany.

This film is the fifth in Rufat Asadov's "Mountain Jews" series.
