The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has signed a decree on awarding Azerbaijani science and culture figures, Report informs, citing the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Azerbaijan.
According to the decree, Gulyanag Mammadova, the vocalist of the Azerbaijan State Song Theater named after Rashid Behbudov, was awarded the People's Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In addition, academician Shahin Mustafayev, the Deputy Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies, named after Academician Ziya Bunyadov, head of the Department of Turkology of Baku State University, professor Ramiz Askarov, head of the Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan Literary Relations Department of the Nizami Institute of Literature of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Almas Binnetova were awarded the Order of Friendship.
