Pakistan’s rep to UN: We are ready to contribute to Azerbaijan’s cultural projects

Pakistan is ready to contribute to all cultural projects to further strengthen close friendly relations with Azerbaijan, Munir Akram, permanent representative of Pakistan to the UN, said during the meeting with Minister of Culture Anar Karimov in the US, Report’s local bureau informs.

A number of issues of mutual interest between Azerbaijan and Pakistan were discussed at the meeting, especially in the field of cultural cooperation.

The minister briefed Akram on various international projects and future initiatives being implemented in Azerbaijan. Karimov stressed the need to further strengthen close strategic cooperation between the two friendly countries, which will serve to protect and promote cultural heritage, and expressed a desire to cooperate in this direction.

In turn, Akram said that Pakistan openly supports Azerbaijan’s Peace4Culture initiative and that this project will play an active role in the five-year action plan. He said that his country is ready to contribute to all cultural projects to further strengthen close friendly relations with Azerbaijan.
