Nasimi Festival of Poetry, Arts and Spiritualty has become a member of European Festivals Association.
Report informs citing the Heydar Aliyev Foundation that it is the first Azerbaijani festival which becomes a member of the European Festivals Association.
Delegation of Nasimi Festival has recently participated in the 3rd Art Festivals Summit held in Lisbon. Overall, 230 festivals and delegations from 45 countries participated in the meeting.
Along with the Nasimi Festival, nine new festivals of seven countries - Ukraine, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Sweden and Russia - have become members of the Association. Two more festivals were accepted as honorary members.
European Festivals Association unifies music, dance, theater and multidisciplinary art festivals in Europe and beyond its borders since 1952. The mission of the organization is to contribute to Europe's art life by uniting and representing member festivals in Europe and worldwide. The organization acts as an important platform of art festivals.
