Cultural economy should not be viewed only as a source of income, Chairman of the Milli Majlis Committee on Culture Ganira Pashayeva said at the international scientific-practical conference entitled "Cultural Economy in Azerbaijan: Development Impulses from the City of Shusha".
She noted that holding an international event in the city of Shusha, and then in Baku, is symbolic: "It was important that the participants see the barbarism of the enemy in the city of Shusha. They understand that our victory is the victory of the culture of creation over the culture of destruction. The cultural sphere has always been a priority for Azerbaijan. We should not consider the cultural economy only as a source of income. This concept creates various opportunities for the state, the people and their culture."
