Masanori Kaiden: Japanese culture highly valued in Azerbaijan

Japanese culture is highly valued in Azerbaijan, which was nice to learn, taiko (Japanese drum) drummer Masanori Kaiden told journalists, Report informs.

“I came to Azerbaijan for the first time and was glad to find out that you have anime, sushi and manga lovers in your country. Many people here greeted me in Japanese, which made me very happy,” he said.

Kaiden emphasized that during today’s event dedicated to Japanese culture, he will perform dances that are examples of ancient Japanese art.

“I think this is a great chance to introduce Azerbaijanis to Japan and our values,” he added.

The drummer said that he first heard Azerbaijani music at a Caucasian dance festival in Georgia: “I really liked the Azerbaijani motifs, they are filled with energy. But I would like to get to know Azerbaijani music better and learn more.”
