Coordinating center of Turkic world’s cultural capital in 2022 opens in Bursa

The opening ceremony of the coordinating center of the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2022 was held in Bursa, Turkiye.

According to a Report employee dispatched to Bursa, the ministers of culture of the Turkic-speaking countries, who arrived in Bursa for an extraordinary meeting of the Permanent Council of TURKSOY, including Azerbaijani Minister of Culture Anar Karimov, President of the International Foundation for Turkic Culture and Heritage Gunay Efendiyeva, officials of Bursa city and others.

“Bursa is a historical city, which has united the pearls of architects, a city included in the UNESCO World Heritage List,” said the head of the municipality of Bursa, Alinur Aktas. He noted that next year Shusha will become the cultural capital of the Turkic world.

There was also the opening of a photo exhibition dedicated to the activities of TURKSOY over the years, and the performance of national ensembles of Turkic-speaking countries.

In addition, the heads of delegations of the TURKSOY countries took part in the event on the occasion of the celebration of Novruz, they jumped over the fire.

An extraordinary meeting of the TURKSOY Permanent Council will be held on March 31 in the city of Bursa.
