An exhibition of Azerbaijani carpets was organized at the Azerbaijan Culture Center operating in Berlin with the joint organization of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Germany and Azerkhalcha OJSC, Report informs, citing the Embassy.
The event organized in connection with the opening of the exhibition was attended by representatives of German state agencies, ambassadors of foreign countries, media representatives, scientific and cultural figures, as well as members of Azerbaijani, Turkish and other communities living in Germany.
Speaking at the event, the ambassador of Azerbaijan to Germany, Nasimi Aghayev, noted that the art of carpet weaving in Azerbaijan has an ancient history, master carpet weavers successfully pass on the intricacies of this art to the younger generation, and the country's leadership attaches great importance to the development of this art.
The exhibition organized at the Azerbaijan Culture Center in Berlin will be open for European carpet lovers until the end of September, the visitors of the exhibition will also be informed about the art and schools of Azerbaijani carpet weaving.
