Baku hosts opening ceremony of int'l festival Nine Senses Fest

On October 6, a grand opening ceremony of the international festival of spiritual and physical practices Nine Senses Fest took place in Baku, Report informs.

The opening ceremony took place on the territory of the sports club The Club Port Baku, one of the partner venues of the festival.

An event of such scale in the field of self-development and health is being held in Azerbaijan for the first time.

The festival is supported by Leyla Aliyeva, vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder of the Nine Senses art center.

The festival is attended by the best specialists, headliners of directions, leaders of theological schools and movements from different countries.

At the opening ceremony, the academic director of the Nine Senses creativity and self-development center and co-organizer of the International Nine Senses Fest, Natalya Zhukova, gave a welcoming speech.

In her speech, she noted the importance of holding the festival for the development and promotion of a healthy lifestyle in Azerbaijan.

“We prepared this festival in two weeks - and it’s incredible! The team did a great job of creating such a large-scale project in such a short period of time. I note that the rhythm of the festival will only increase over the next two days. We started with relaxed morning practices - qigong and technology of breathing, we will continue with performances of our headliners - Imram Kriya, Nandan Gautam, Anna Vladimirova.

On October 8, we planned a business panel at the Sea Breeze Event Hall and a busy program at Nine Senses. Evening concerts, a themed fair, dance improvisations - all this will enrich festival participants with new experiences and unforgettable impressions. Leyla Khanum, being the founder of Nine Senses, supported our project, which we expect to become an annual project. Our main goal is to gather professionals working in three directions: body, spirit, mind. Masters who are ready to share their experience of practice and conscious attitude to life,” noted Zhukova.

The festival will allow participants to get acquainted with almost all current world trends in the harmonious development of man: various schools of yoga - Kriya, Hatha, Ashtanga - Vinyasa, Nidra, artistic yoga - all of them will be presented at the festival.

Also - meditative practices, body-oriented practices, dance therapy, sound healing, stretching and gymnastics, qigong, therapeutic group classes, coaching of various directions, various types of art therapy and much, much more.

The Nine Senses Fest, organized in partnership with the educational platform ANSA, will last until October 8.
