The Nizami Ganjavi International Forum (NGBF) titled "Nizami Ganjavi: Bridge between Civilizations" and organized by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture and the Baku City Executive Power has kicked off within the framework of the Nizami Ganjavi Year, dedicated to the 880th anniversary of Nizami Ganjavi, a prominent representative of world literature, genius Azerbaijani thinker and poet.
Minister of Culture Anar Karimov, Deputy Prime Minister Ali Ahmadov, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu, Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Russian President's Special Envoy for International Cultural Cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoy, Uzbek Minister of Culture Ozodbek Nazarbekov, and other officials are attending the forum.
The forum is also attended by more than 40 scientists, scholars and experts from 15 various countries, as well as government officials, heads of higher education institutions, representatives of international organizations, and the diplomatic corps.
The forum will include various panel discussions, presentations, bilateral meetings, book presentations, cultural and other events.
