"First, we need to make a list of material and cultural objects looted from the liberated territories and to determine how many items and exhibits were stolen from museums," Azerbaijani Culture Minister Anar Karimov told journalists, Report informs.
"Unfortunately, the fate of most of these destroyed, looted and stolen items is unknown. However, we have information about some of them. We will collect those pieces of information and raise our claims through international conventions. Our goal is to have the stolen works of art belonging to the Azerbaijani people returned back home. Recently Armenia has shamelessly held an exhibition of carpets stolen from Shusha in its museums. They show it with pride. This is a crime and disrespect for international law. We have informed UNESCO about this. This work will continue; we will not give them a miss. Our stolen heritage must be returned to us," the minister added.
