Azerbaijan represented at book fair in Ankara

Azerbaijan was represented as an honorary guest country at the book fair held in Ankara.

According to Report's Ankara bureau, the opening ceremony of the fair took place at the ATO Congresium Center.

Speaking at the opening of the 21st Ankara Book Fair, Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Türkiye Rashad Mammadov said this is the first time Azerbaijan is represented as a country in the history of this fair.

The ambassador noted that the fair, which attracts great interest from book lovers, is an important platform for presenting Azerbaijani literature to Turkish readers.

Academic Nizami Jafarov, director of the Ataturk Center in Azerbaijan and the international honorary guest of the fair, spoke about the impact of books and reading on shaping human worldview.

After the official part, Azerbaijan's book stand was opened as the guest country.

Türkiye's Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism, Batuhan Mumcu, participated in the opening of the book stand.

National dances were also presented at the opening ceremony by the dance ensemble of the Azerbaijan Cultural Center.

Books published by various Azerbaijani publishing houses will be exhibited during the fair, which will last for 10 days.
