Zangilan district fully provided with electricity owing to infrastructure created here, presidential representative says

Zangilan has once again become the venue for a significant international event - the high-level meeting "Pathway to COP29: Sustainable and Resilient Future."

According to Vahid Hajiyev, the special representative of the President of Azerbaijan for the Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan districts, Karabakh was declared a "green" energy zone after its liberation. Since then, extensive work has been carried out to make this vision a reality.

In Zangilan alone, four hydroelectric power plants with a total capacity of 42 MW have been constructed and put into operation.

"Thanks to these power plants, we can provide electricity to the entire Zangilan district," Hajiyev stated.

Additionally, a 212 kW Archimedes turbine-type hydroelectric power plant has been built in the village of Aghali, supplying electricity to the entire village.
