Hosting such a significant event as COP29 in Azerbaijan will strengthen Baku's authority in the international arena, especially considering the high results and successes demonstrated during the conference, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said during a briefing, according to Report.
"We would like to note the excellent organization of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change in Baku. We aim to continue increasing cooperation on climate issues with Azerbaijan and all interested states," she said.
According to her, the Russian delegation received a warm and cordial welcome. "We can confidently say that this has become another confirmation of the traditionally friendly relations between our countries," Zakharova noted.
