Youssef Nassef: Climate education should not be limited to schools

Climate education should not be limited to schools; it is necessary to expand this field and create conditions for continuous learning, Youssef Nassef, director of the Adaptation Division of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), said at the event "Communicating Climate Change through Education: The Crucial Role of Youth and Educators" within COP29, Report informs.

He noted that this approach would help reveal youth leadership qualities and implement necessary changes for a sustainable future.

"Climate action is a broad concept that also encompasses education. Public participation, access to information, and international cooperation are necessary. These elements are important tools for building a climate-safe world. The more we invest in this, the more effective our long-term activities will be," he said.
