Azerbaijan has opened its doors to all who wish to participate in constructive and productive climate discussions, COP29 chief negotiator Yalchin Rafiyev said at a press conference on November 14, responding to a French journalist's question about the French environment minister's decision to cancel their trip to Baku, Report informs.
He noted that Azerbaijan, as the chair of COP29, has ensured inclusivity in all processes to achieve a positive outcome.
"We have hosted more than 80 world leaders, hundreds of ministers have gathered here, and we have tried to make the negotiation process truly inclusive. We have opened our doors to everyone who wants to join constructive and productive discussions. Our doors remain open, and we hope that everyone present here has a common intention - to participate in collective efforts to achieve a positive result that will, first and foremost, help developing countries meet their needs and priorities," he said.
