Azerbaijan's geopolitical position and its fight against climate change will make a significant contribution to this process, Ebru Canan-Sokullu, deputy director of the Human Resources Department at the UN Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), told Report.
She said that Azerbaijan has done very important work on the COP topic: "It is necessary to inform people from an early age about the problem of climate change. Families also bear responsibility in this matter. At the next stage, one of the main goals is for government bodies to make the right decisions in this direction."
Sokullu added that private companies and society also play an important role in combating climate change: "It is impossible to fight climate change without multilateral cooperation. Therefore, it is important to develop public-private partnerships."
