UN: Climate finance not spent as intended

The funds allocated for combating climate change are not being spent as intended, Tetet Nera-Lauron, advisor to the UN Center for International Dialogue and Cooperation, said at an event within COP29, Report informs.

She called on countries to allocate funding from state budgets to help communities that have faced devastating consequences of climate change.

"Developed countries are indebted to the global community. Only a few hours remain until the end of COP29. Countries must fulfill their commitments to combat climate change," said Lauron.
