Azerbaijan aims to increase the number of paperless operations through complete automation and digitization of processes, Chairman of the State Customs Committee (SCC) Shahin Baghirov said.
According to Report, speaking at the event "Green Customs: Developing Sustainable Trade through Simplification, Innovation and Standards" within the framework of COP29, he noted that the SCC supports the "Green Customs" initiative by continuously collaborating with key groups and working on several action plans to develop green policies. According to him, the department has developed a Customs Strategy Plan for 2025-2030, which reflects all relevant activities.
Baghirov emphasized that the established goals allow the customs administration to contribute to global efforts not only in simplifying legitimate trade but also in protecting the environment and promoting sustainable development.
