Discussions planned at the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) may play an important role in promoting green hydrogen projects, Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said on April 16 at the second annual Green Hydrogen Summit in the UAE, Report informs.
"Azerbaijan is going to take the presidency soon for the COP29 and I am sure that we will continue the most important topics. One of them Is issue of finance which is absolutely important," the minister said, adding that the definition of a new collective quantitative goal [NCQG] will be of utmost importance.
He noted that this will fulfill the commitments made by COP28 participants last year in the UAE.
“We will set targets for COP30, which will also be an important tool for the development of green hydrogen,” the minister said.
