On April 5, the Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the COP29 Organizing Committee Samir Nuriyev met with the Director General of the Regional Department for Central and West Asia of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Eugene Zhukov.
Report informs that during the meeting the sides exchanged views on cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Asian Development Bank and the preparation process for COP29.
Samir Nuriyev noted that this year marks 25 years of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Asian Development Bank, and emphasized that Azerbaijan highly values this cooperation.
Zhukov said that the Asian Development Bank intends to closely cooperate with Azerbaijan and provide technical support in connection with COP29.
He expressed satisfaction with the progress achieved in the field of diversification of the Azerbaijani economy and green transition and emphasized that the Asian Development Bank is ready to contribute to this process.
