Azerbaijan's path to a sustainable "green" future is closely connected with technological innovations, Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev said at the COP29 presidency press conference, according to Report.
"We firmly believe that digitalization is necessary not only for preserving our unique landscapes and biodiversity but also for improving efficiency and sustainability," he said.
The minister noted that over the past seven months, Azerbaijan has managed to create a platform that aggregates data from six billion objects, such as metro, buses, surveillance cameras, and so on.
"This allows for making digital decisions in real-time. The platform optimizes transport operations, which helps reduce emissions. Digital solutions also help reduce road congestion and improve air quality in the capital," Nabiyev said.
